It's not every day i get to chat with a well known musician, and Nina Bergman has made quite a name for herself. As the new leading lady of Letters From The Fire, i got a chance to sit down and chat with her about not only the band life, but other things she's involved with. Here's a look at our conversation!

- For those that don’t know really well, who is Nina Bergman?

Nina: I’m born and raised in Denmark but my father is Russian. I'm an artist through and through. I believe I was put on this planet to express, push buttons and give back!  - How did you come to join Letters From The Fire?

Nina: I auditioned along with a bunch of other girls! And I beat them!! Haha ;) No, seriously I think we’re a great fit and we all realized that :) - Was the reception good/bad from longtime fans of the band when you joined?

Nina: It was surprisingly positive! LFTF have some incredible supportive and loyal fans! They were a little hesitant at first and rightfully so!  - What was the writing process like for the new album?

Nina: I wrote on some of LFTF tracks and I brought a bunch of songs that I had already written. We picked 30 that we really liked and narrowed it down to the ones that made the record! We took a lot of what I  had written and made it better and put the LFTF stamp on it.

- Did the inspiration for the new songs come from real life?

Nina: Oh yeah. All of these songs are straight out of my diary and life! Some of the songs are more fun and some are literally my dark secrets and my rage. Art is about being transparent and having the “balls” to say what other people may think but don’t know how to put into words….  - How long will you and the band be touring for in support of the new album?

Nina: We have most of July booked. Then a few weeks off and then another tour starting August 21st. - The opening track on the album (and one of my favorites) is “Harley”. What’s the story behind that?

Nina: Awesome!! Glad you like it :) I wrote it when I was signed to a major label. I had a 6 album deal and hated it…. I was in prison. They told me rock music was dead and I had to let it go…. They wanted me to do pop music. The only place I felt free was when I’d jump on my Harley and just fly. My motorcycle was my escape. LFTF took that poppy little song and put some SUPER heavy guitars on it and made it into a heavy rock song. Giving the major label the middle finger! Rock is who I am and I’ll never let anyone tell me otherwise ever again.  - How do you manage juggling an acting career, being in a video game, and being in the band?

Nina: Haha I don’t know!!! It’s freaking crazy!! I live a crazy disciplined life! I love what I do and I have an obsessive personality. Self care is my number one priority, I had to learn that the hard way! I eat a super clean vegan diet and workout, along with sleep and meditation. That’s my main priority so I don’t collapse! Oh yeah and I'm allergic to toxic people! I run when they’re near me! I simply don’t have the time for all the little petty stuff that doesn’t mean anything anyway. My new thing is: If it’s not a HELL YEAH then fuck it! I don’t care what it is, who you are or how much it pays. I go where the love is and I save a lot of time living that way!!  - When can we expect the new Doom movie? Nina: Doom will be out 2019 I’m not sure exactly when yet!  - How was the preparation for the new Call of Duty: Black Ops game?

Nina: All can say is that those guns you see on the poster and that crazy outfit…. Try to run and jump around in that for a day! Fun but crazy tough!  - Any last minute thoughts, or anything you want to say to the fans out there?

Nina: Yeah I think it’s important to say that all the positive comments and feedback we get is what helps me keep going! This new LFTF record is so personal to me and it means so much that people are really digging it! Thaaaaank Yoooouuu! See you at a show \m/
